As a journalism graduate from Rhodes University, my journalism and media production skills are not only limited to television and film, but also includes writing, design, photography and radio broadcasting. Throughout the four years of the journalism course, I was trained to work in various forms of media production, as well as journalism and media theory. The course has taught me how to package and distribute produced media in terms of each step in the process, such as storyboarding, interviewing, researching, editing and finalising for offline or online dissemination.

Having completed specialised courses in radio, writing and design, my chosen specialisation for my third and fourth year studies was Television. I chose this course in order to improve my visual skills and to combine video with my understanding of audio.

The multimedia page of this portfolio includes magazine publications, feature articles, a news publication in Grocott's Mail, a pre-recorded radio show, and a photostory.

BREEZING THROUGH HOGSBACK

This short travel documentary is about Hogsback, a small village in the Amatola Mountains of the Eastern Cape, South Africa. It is known for being a getaway destination, away from city life. With its indigenous forests and pristine waterfalls, the area houses less than 400 residents. Hogsback is believed to be a place of great spirituality, deeply connected to mother nature and with an affinity to fairies and folk tales...
