MUSIC

Music is undoubtedly the most significant aspect in my life. But what holds greater value in music than merely listening to it is creating it. With my Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Music and Sound Engineering, I have developed my skills and knowledge in the field of audio recording. Sound is as important and valuable in filmmaking as the visual, for I believe it is the only sense that provokes an emotional response. That is what I strive to achieve; a provocation of emotion in viewers and listeners.

With my skills and knowledge in Sound Engineering, I am capable of studio recording and mastering, DJing and music production, as well as live mixing and rigging PA systems. My strength lies in live audio mixing, whether it be for full band performances, acoustic events, theatre productions, variety shows, or conferences.

For live mixing, I am most familiar with an Allen & Heath ZED-22FX mixing desk. For studio recording, I am skilled at working Steinberg Cubase 5 and 6, as well as other recording programs such as Adobe Audition and Audacity, With studio recording, I am able to mic up and record a full band or solo act, mix and edit a multitrack project, and master the final mixdowns in Wavelab.

BREEZING THROUGH HOGSBACK

This short travel documentary is about Hogsback, a small village in the Amatola Mountains of the Eastern Cape, South Africa. It is known for being a getaway destination, away from city life. With its indigenous forests and pristine waterfalls, the area houses less than 400 residents. Hogsback is believed to be a place of great spirituality, deeply connected to mother nature and with an affinity to fairies and folk tales...
