With a Bachelor of Journalism Degree in Film and Television (Rhodes University), I have gained an immeasurable amount of experience as a filmmaker and videographer. I believe that capturing images and footage is a fundamental medium in expressing one's own meanings and sense of self to an audience. My interest in visual arts allows me to express my films creatively and to experiment with filming techniques in an attempt to engage with my viewers.

As part of the Rhodes Television course, my film and videography skills encompasses the entire process of filmmaking; from concept to a completed product. More specifically, it includes being able to conceptualise and formulate a working idea, directing and operating the camera, producing, editing, post-production, as well as distributing online or otherwise.

My area of strength is editing raw footage, particularly on Adobe Premiere Pro. I am also greatly familiar with the rest of the Adobe CS6 Master Collection, mainly Photoshop and After Effects. Other editing programs that I have worked with is Avid and Final Cut Pro 7.

I have also worked with a range of cameras, such as the Panasonic P2, both Canon and Nikon DSLRs, and a GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition.

BREEZING THROUGH HOGSBACK

This short travel documentary is about Hogsback, a small village in the Amatola Mountains of the Eastern Cape, South Africa. It is known for being a getaway destination, away from city life. With its indigenous forests and pristine waterfalls, the area houses less than 400 residents. Hogsback is believed to be a place of great spirituality, deeply connected to mother nature and with an affinity to fairies and folk tales...
